Description:
Made on the same day as Green, Chicago IL, this is one of my most popular images. It's an exceedingly simple one, but a combination of the lines created by the tree trunks leaning this way and that, and the scattering of yellow flowers in the verdant undergrowth creates a compelling picture.

This is one of those images that was made with virtually no forethought - the scene was noted, the camera brought to the eye and the shutter pressed. There were many images I made that day that I put a lot of thought into, but ended up not being successful. And here is an image made off-the-cuff that works very well.

Just goes to show that it pays to not overthink things and just be guided by your eye.
