Pelicans at Sunset, Florida

Description:
Made on the Banana river in Florida, this is about as clichéd an image as you'll find - but I love it nonetheless. It was a spectacular sunset, and I stopped by the side of the road intent on capturing it.

There were many pelicans flying about, and it was only a matter of time before one or two obliged me by flying through the frame at just the right angle. Of the series of exposures I made, this is my favourite. It shows the pelicans at different stages of their wingbeat, flying as if out from the sun.
