Description:
The Baltimore Beacon (also known as Lot's Wife) is a favourite subject of mine. Seen here on a sunny and unseasonably mild day in November (following the worst flooding in living memory), I've used a tilt-shift lens to create a narrow zone of focus from the foreground rock to the beacon itself.
This draws the viewer's eye up through the image and at the same time makes a familiar scene something a little bit different.
The Sherkin Lighthouse is just visible to the right of the beacon.
