Description:
Made on the same evening as my image of the lighthouse, this view looks south from the cliff edge towards the Mizen peninsula.
The sun had set about twenty minutes previously and the moon and Jupiter are visible in the sky. I stuck around, making several exposures and oblivious to the fading light - meaning I had to walk the 2km back to the car in the dark, over almost invisible paths with only a dim keychain light. It certainly made for an interesting evening, and my thanks go to Jim Tobin who guided me back the last few hundred meters after I took a wrong turn.
This is a striking location, with the cliff soaring above me and plunging almost vertically down to the rocks below - an easy place to lose track of time.
