Ruined Cottage, Ox Mountains, Co. Sligo

Description:
Made on the 2008 Viewpoints trip to Sligo and North Mayo, we found this cottage driving through the Ox Mountains.

It was a beautiful day and while shooting landscapes in the middle of the day doesn't normally work, the sky was so compelling and matched the subject so well that we had little choice but to set up the tripods.

This image was made with my trusty 12mm ultra-wide angle lens, which can always be relied upon to give a great sense of perspective in a scene.
