Description:
The Gearagh is a wonderful place. The remains of an alluvial forest, the trees had to be cut to make way for a hydroelectric dam downriver.
As unfortunate as that is, the landscape left behind has a surreal beauty as the stumps can still be seen poking up through the shallow water.
Seen here on a fantastically clear and calm evening it has a magical atmosphere that's hard to beat.
