Description:
Another image made on the Viewpoints trip to Mayo/Sligo in 2008. This was made on our most productive morning, at Pontoon Bridge in Co. Mayo.
After photographing Nephin across Lough Conn as the Sun was rising, we noticed thick fog rolling in from the South.
Thinking the morning's photography was over, we wandered back up to the car. When we got back to the bridge, I noticed that the fog was just thin enough to see the trees on the far side of the waterway connecting Lough Conn to Lough Cullin.
Scrambling down to the shore, I made several exposures as the fog swirled and eddied around us. This is my favourite of the bunch, with the Sun just peeping through and backlighting the prominent trees in the foreground.
