Description:
One of the things I like about the sea is watching squalls from a distance. On land, you don't really get to appreciate how isolated and fast-moving heavy rain showers can be.
This image was taken from Doolin pier in Clare, which is the closest embarkation point for Inis Oirr (or Inisheer, as it's also called), the smallest of the Aran Islands. It was a blustery afternoon, and there were several squalls visible out over the Atlantic. This one has partially obscured the island, but you can still make out the lighthouse at the southern tip.
