Description:
Made on the road between Maam Cross and Leenaun, this image is a very Connemara landscape. Intermittent showers were moving through and the sky was clearing to the west, making for a very dramatic scene.

I love storm clouds, particularly when the Sun is fighting to clear through them, giving the proverbial silver lining. In this case, the clear patch of sky to the left of the image makes the photograph, providing a needed break to the threatening skies and making possible the light that plays on the hills in the center.
