Description:
This image was made at a rare breeds petting farm near Oban in Scotland. My wife is a sucker for any sort of petting farm, so rare breeds had her in a rare state of excitement. Truth be told, it was a very pleasant sort of place, lots of walks through gently rolling hills, secluded paths etc.
This gull was standing on a knoll a small distance from the entrance, and I liked the colours and shapes of the image, so here it is. The title is a bit of a joke - perhaps he was involved with the JFK assassination?
On a side note, I had originally misidentified this bird as a Herring Gull. I was put right by Daníel Bergmann while on a recent visit to Iceland. He is one of the (two) premier nature photographers in that country. At least nowadays when I get corrected, it's by an expert!
