Attempted Visit to Inishtearaght

I was supposed to be spending the evening on Inishtearaght (Inis Tiaracht) tonight, the most westerly of the Blasket Islands and the most westerly point in Europe, Iceland excepted.

However, the winds were not conducive to a landing so after a couple of dummy passes to assess the conditions we returned to Castletownbere. I also discovered that I didn't have a wide enough lens mounted on the camera, but that notwithstanding I did get a halfway decent photograph of the island showing its very forbidding character.

Going to try again tomorrow, so fingers crossed.
